December 10, 2019 Adam University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Konrad Adenauer Foundation held a scientifically-practical conference “Digital Kyrgyzstan: Universities as Drivers of Skills Development for the Future”.
The purpose of the conference is the discussion of the role of universities in promoting the digital transformation of the country, developing new skills for the future among different social groups, as well as the practices of the use of electronic technologies by educational organizations as part of the implementation of the Digital Transformation Concept “Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023”.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic N. Omorov, IT analyst of the Center for Electronic Interaction, director of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the Ministry and departments, donor organizations (Delegations of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic , Konrad Adenauer Foundation, National Office of Erasmus + in the Kyrgyz Republic, Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan, etc.), representatives of more than 20 higher education institutions, 4 independent accreditation agencies, colleges, students associations and employers, national and international experts.
The Conference discussed current issues related to promoting digital transformation of the country, the development of new skills for the future among different social groups, as well as the practice of the use of electronic technologies by educational organizations.
The conference consisted of two sessions:
1. New Skills for a Digital Future
2. Digital University: Opportunities and Challenges.
After each of them, panel discussions were organized at which the most important and interesting issues were discussed.
